| Stayed here for a 3 day visit to San Diego, attracted purely & simply by its price. The staff were attentive to my queries and helpful. The hotel's location is not central, but then I was spending all of my days at San Diego's attractions so this was fine; a Denny's across the road for a burger or breakfast was spot on too. I used public transport to get to Seaworld & the zoo, thanks to the detailed instructions offered by the front desk. My room was absolutely fine: spacious, shower with good water pressure, clean.
For anyone on a budget, prepared to use buses to get to places like te zoo or Seaworld, this place comes recommended. It's definitely a no-frills hotel but It saved me a lot of money and I would happily stay here again if I ever return to San Diego. |

| Surrounding neighborhood not really very nice and room walls seem to be very thin (can be loud).
Parking available, though it can be difficult to get a free slot if you return to the hotel too late at night.
TV available, but no cable.
WiFi available (g-network) for additional charge per room, not per device. In the evening the connection can get slow.
Located very close to the freeway.
It's a good choice if you go to San Diego with your car and you're looking for low budget accomodation. |

| My only concern was, the maid did not leave toilet tissue and I was sure we would run out during the night. With the help of kleenex we managed. This time we stayed on the third floor to insure children were not over our heads. Perry's Cafe on Taylor about four blocks was excellent for breakfast. |

| For a low price, you get:
1. Good location: close to Sea World, Harbor, Zoo...
2. Spacious rooms: mine has 2 queen size beds and still feel spacious.
However, be prepared...
1. The hotel is understaffed. You wait for a long line to check in or get your problems solved.The staff remain friendly though.
2. The room keys easily lose magnetic info. I had to get my 2 room keys redid 2 days in a row, and I met at least two families each time with the same issue.
3. The room has no microwave, no coffee maker, no hair dryer, and no iron. It does have a fridge and very noisy AC.
4. One day my room was not cleaned. The front desk said I had to put up the "Clean my room" sign, which did not make sense at all. |

| The motel room was excellent except for one important thing. There was no ESpn or ESPN2 available. Had to go a sports bar at 9AM to see a football game. The direct TV did not have any news programs nor weather channel. In that category of "How did we do?", you get a zero!..The desk repeatedly told me the "man" was coming to fix it. I don't believe that the ESaPNs were even in their package. I learned a lesson-- find out what channels are offered. |

| The hotel staff was fine, and the accommodations were reasonable for the price. The sleaze factor in the neighborhood, though, was off the charts. There's a strip joint next door and the homeless troll for donations at nearby intersections. |
