| Trains were way to loud. The tracks for trolley,amtrak and coaster are right behind the hotel and is very loud. They have ear plugs on the nite stands. Makes it uncomfortable to try and sleep with plugs in your ears. Good location for airport and downtown. Very clean and breakfast was very nice, |

| Seriously thought the train horns would stop at a decent hour but that was not the case. The hotel was great, bed was perfect and the breakfast that was free was wonderful but the train was awful!!!! Not a place to stay if you want to sleep. Location was good though if you were wanting to be close to the embarcadero. We originally entered gas lamp as the area for our search and this is not in the gaslamp or within walking distance to it. bad search description and bad train!!! |

| Excellent clean linen in the two rooms that I books for my team of eight that included two small children. Kind enough to provide us with a small breakfast pack as we had to leave for our flight at 3am in the morning.
One problem encountered though aws with room heating. Though in late December - San Diego was pretty warm in the evening we checked in. Tried several things to lower the room temperature but Air Conditioner did not seem to respond. AS it was late in the evening - we did not complain to the front desk and managed rest of the few hours stay prior to deparure to Airport at 3 am. |

| Located in a restored art deco building facing Pacific Highway, the hotel is well situated, located directly behind (to the west of) San Diego City/County Gov't building.
Limited parking w/ a $12/day charge which is negligible by downtown standards. But beware because if you arrive too late, the garage may be full.
The breakfast is a good deal. Lots more than just donuts and coffee. When you realize that you've just saved $15 to $20 per person by opting out of a local breakfast, this adds to the overall value.
The rooms are nice and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. Local calls are free as is internet service (hard wired).
Overall not a bad value at all, but - be warned about one thing. The hotel does back up to the train and trolley tracks. It is extremely noisy if you have a room that faces the courtyard!
But, alas, that is part of the charm of downtown San Diego. One way or another, you can't really get away from the trains and trolleys, but here they are closer than most places; literally, right behind the hotel. |

| el hotel esta bien, el unico problema es q esta cerca de el trole o el tren y se escucha a cada rato, y el dasayuno esta muy insipido pero lo demas bien, atencion, servicio,etc. |

| We were unaware that Amtrak RR tracks were just behind the hotel and the trains blew their horns a lot. in an industrial area, eggs seemed to be powdered and there wasn't any bacon. $12 for parking. |

| Room, staff, service were excellent. Only complaint was the lack of WiFi in the room. Hard wired network connections are pretty useless to a tablet computer. |
