Recent Hilton Gaslamp Quarter Review: "We stayed at the Hilton Gaslamp to see a football game at Qualcomm park. The hotel is located right on the trolley line and there are usually extra trains running to take people from the Gaslamp right to the park without making a transfer for big games. It was also a short distance from the airport (a $15 taxi ride) so we never needed to rent a car. I was worried about the noise from the trolley and trains in our room, but it was never a problem at all and I am a light sleeper. The hotel staff let us check in a bit early and there are countless great restaurants and night clubs in the Gaslamp which makes for a a very fun stay. The hotel is also very close to the waterfront where you can go for a run, a walk ,or just go grab a bite and enjoy the view and the sightseeing. The rooms are updated, clean, and comfortable. It was a great deal for the money and we had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to be close to good food, nice views, and nightlife."
