Right on the Bay......Directly across the street from the Cruise Terminal, our ship docked directly across from our room, maybe 50 yards away. Midway carrier museum and many old sailing ship and submarines (US and Russian) museums as well. Only place to stay if you are going cruising........even frequent free shuttles to/from the airport.

Bra läge nära centrum.Mycket störande ljud från tåg som visslar dag som natt ca 3 tåg på natten ,störande ljud från flygplats och hamn. Gångavstånd till Down Town. Kylskåp saknades på hotelrummet, kunde hyras. Tvättmöjlighet mot avgift. Susanne

Fantastica città, hotel molto curato e pulito. Personale gentile, hotel molto grande. parcheggio a pagamento. In posiziona eccezzionale per il molo, a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro. Lo consiglio.

Vi bodde här fyra nätter med start nyårsafton. Vi trodde att det skulle skjutas raketer på nyår i hamnen men inte en enda allmän raketuppvisning fanns. Verkade aldrig ha det, i alla fall inte i de trakterna. Jag tycker att vi fick ett bra hotell för pengarna. Rent och bekväma sängar. Härligt med egen balkong. Minus är att de inte har kylskåp på rummet,  men det fanns att hyra per dygn. Ismaskin finns i korridoren så vi fyllde en papperskorg med is och hade som kylskåp på balkongen. Ganska slitet gym och en helt ok utomhuspool. Men passa på att bada där på förmiddagen då det blir skugga ganska tidigt.

This was the perfect hotel experience. We got a room right on the Holiday Bowl Parade route with a gorgeous view of the harbor and the parade, especially from the balcony. Customer service was outstanding all the way around - from ensuring I got a room with a view of the parade to the valet parking and bell hops to the restaurant, the staff accommodated  all of my needs. I might even come back to stay next year even if my team isn't playing in the Holiday Bowl. We had such a great time and the Holiday Inn On The Bay helped ensure a pleasant vacation. Also, right next to the trolley cars and 1 block from the train station. So easy!

L'hotel è bello, la camera grandissima con una parete completamente vetrata con vista sull'oceano, anche il bagno è molto grande e la doccia è comodissima. L'aeroporto è molto vicino, ma gli aerei atterrano dentro a San Diego, è inevitabile. Il servizio di shuttle è comodissimo, puntuale e veloce. C'è una grande piscina scoperta e riscaldata in inverno  e una palestra ma non ho utilizzato nessuna delle due, da fuori sembravano belle. Ci sono diversi ristoranti nell'hotel e in immediata prossimità. La connessione internet è abbastanza veloce. Lo staff è sempre stato utile e gentile.

Short flat walk from train station to hotel. Hotel very clean with friendly & helpful staff. They stored our luggage on the morning before our ship "Zaandam" sailed for OZ at 4pm. The terminal is a 5 minute walk across the road but they arranged shuttles for guests & luggage then driven direct to the entrance of the check in terminal. Our luggage was  looked after from hotel to delivery to our stateroom on board. Excellent service & much appreciated. Elephant & Castle pub/bistro/beer garden highly recommended for outlook, food & cold beer, a very friendly, happy atmosphere and the prices for food & drinks are very reasonable. Hotel located a short walk to uptown San Diego for shopping and close to the harbour for tours & harbour cruises. I highly recommend Holiday Inn San Diego-On The Bay.

My bride booked this hotel due to its proximity to our wedding reception. When I arrived at the front desk, in my wedding tux, I mentioned that that I just came from my wedding reception - he offered no comments and proceeded to tell me it would be an additional $22 to park our vehicle! He then gave me directions to the parking lot that would be closest  to our room - the doors were locked and we had to walk around the exterior of the hotel....in a wedding gown and tux!! On a positive note, the bell boy noticed us walking in and offered to help us to our room and would not accept a tip from the newlyweds.

We stayed at this Hotel for two nights. The room was located on the 14th floor in the South Tower. Everything was very clean. Staff at check in and check out was fast and friendly. Overall a very good experience. Would stay there again also recommend this Hotel to others.
