Recent Holiday La Mesa Review: "Overall we were very satisfied with our stay here at this hotel. The room was comfortable & adequate for the price we paid. The room could use brighter lights....even if we opened the curtains. The only hiccup we had was the free breakfast that supposedly came with the reservation. We were a party of 6 in a suite and upgraded the reservation to the  higher rate to include a 'complete breakfast'. We were only given 1-voucher which was only good for 2-people for 1-day and that was it. I spoke to the hotel manager & I insisted that I booked the room for a party of 6 therefore we should have a total of 6-vouchers good for 2-days. The hotel manager was understanding and took care of it for us. Word of warning, the breakfast is free up to $20 worth total tab. You pay anything over $20 as well as tax & gratuity. Tip, if you're a party of 4 or more, make sure each pair or couple gets and uses 1-voucher for breakfast so the total bill is less than $20. You will only pay tax & gratuity which is approx $1-$2."
