Recent Howard Johnson Seaworld Review: "I have to admit that the hotel exceeded my expectation. The room was clean, large, and had a fridge and a microwave. The hotel stuff was very friendly and helpful. The airport shuttle was very useful, too. There are a shopping center across the hotel where you can find restaurants and a grocery store. A drug store was close, too. There is a bus station very close by, and the Old Town trolley terminal is within a walkable distance. Breakfast was basic, but was okay - had fruits, boiled eggs, waffles, etc. There is an Enterprise rental car office close by (Point Loma) and they can pick you up if you need to rent a car. The only thing you will need to be careful is that they will charge you $1 a day for the use of the safe in your room whether you ask for it or not. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay - this is not a fancy hotel, but was clean and had everything we needed - airport pick up, breakfast, good location, and friendly staff."
