Recent La Quinta Mission Valley Review: "We stayed in San Diego for a few days after a trade show in Anaheim, so that we could visit the zoo and tour the area. We were very pleased with the location and convenience to the freeway. I would have liked to explore the immediate area more but simply didn't have enough time. Front desk staff were pleasant and handicap parking was conveniently located  in the garage (lower level of building where our room was located) near the elevator. Our room was in a separate building from the office with outside corridors. We faced a car dealership but had no issues with noise or freeway sounds. The fitness and breakfast rooms were on the first floor. Breakfast was much more than adequate with waffles, hard boiled eggs, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, and usual bread/pastries. Our room was comfortable for two with the sink outside of the bathroom for convenience when both of us were trying to get ready. The beds were outstanding. We had a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker unit in the room. The coffeemaker was difficult to reach on top of the microwave (plug fed through a hole in the back of the cabinet and didn't allow for easy movement elsewhere) but I was able to manage. The bathroom appeared to be newly updated and the tub was roomy with a curved shower curtain and grab handle on the end wall rather than in the middle of the tub where you would have to stand against it. The tub floor was a minor inconvenience as it sloped slightly to the drain and took getting used to (we are older and have some mobility issues) but it was manageable. We declined housekeeping services while we were there as we had plenty of towels and supplies. Our room had a small square table with 2 chairs. Adequate for us but be cramped for a family of 4. The free wifi was ok but ran a little slow at times and I had difficulty downloading pictures from my camera to facebook. All in all, our room was great for the price and we would return without hesitation. We had good restful sleep (the most important thing). Th"
