Convenient location to local attractions. Continental breakfast is somewhat of a joke and you have to ask yourself because they won't remind you but the Inn was just what we needed to stay in Point Loma for the night. It's not high quality but it's good for the price and where it is.

Everything about the room was great, especially considering the bargain price, EXCEPT the sofa-bed. I was traveling with two small children and opted for this room as it was advertised as having a sofa bed and a kitchen. The kitchen was fine (mismatched dishes and a sore lacking of utensils not withstanding), and sufficed for the short stay. However the sofa bed was completely and utterly unusable. You could feel the coils in the mattress by simply lightly running your hands over the top. It may as well have been a pile of coils with a sheet on top. And the mattress springs themselves were so saggy that even my seven year old dipped the bed nearly a foot. There is no possible way any human could sleep on that bed. I ended up putting one kid in the bed with me and the other on the couch itself (not folded out as a bed). I did complain and the manager gave me a phone number to call, which frankly didn't impress me much. You work here. YOU deal with it. If I could get a really good price on the double-room one I might stay there again, but it's lacking the kitchen. If all you need is one bed and the kitchen, then it's a bargain.

My friends and I stayed here for a week. The room is fantastic, the price was reasonable, and it was accessible to everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely stay with them again.

Good location in Point Loma. It was a so-so room for the price. The couch and rug looked a little dirty.

I will likely be staying there again. It is hard to find a hotel for less money so close to the beach. The bed was a little hard, but the room had a microwave and a mini fridge, which was nice. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. In a nutshell the place is great for the money, and if you want to go to San Diego FOR San Diego (not just to stay in a hotel) and want to save money I would highly recommend this place.

The room was clean and we were able to park the rental car in front of the room, which is always a plus. The walls are thin, but for the price this place was a bargain! The owner was nice and we walked to dinner to a local seafood joint behind the hotel. The location was great for the dash to the car rental return for a 7:00AM flight. We travel to San Diego at least once a year and will definately go back to the Point Loma Inn.

Well, hrm. Having worked in the hospitality industry for a while, I have learned to look at certain things, however..I am certainly not picky. I chose this hotel due to it's great location. It's perfectly situated on the harbor stretch near Point Loma. The area is nice as well. I checked in early due to a fishing trip, and the gentleman at the desk (manager, owner?, no name) was more than helpful and willing to get me checked into a room, as mine was not yet ready. This was very much appreciated, and certainly not required of the hotel. Once in my room, I dropped my gear, and began taking off my shoes. Upon doing so, I noticed a few...crumbs and what not on the floor just under the edge of the bed..my curiousity got the best of me, and I began having a look around. I found M&Ms, Cheetos, and other things left behind by guests in quite a few places, under the sofa sleeper, under the bed, behind the dresser that sticks out. I decided that I had not found one bug, anywhere, and as I was just staying one short night, I would be satisfied, as I had a fishing trip to enjoy. Needless to say, minus the cleanliness of the room, the overall experience at the hotel, and with it's staff was pleasant, and thoroughly enjoyable.

They are remodling the motel, our room was extremely clean and the Manager and Owner were very nice. Good enough for a couple just needing a night or two on way to somewhere. It wasn't very quite as you could hear the people upstairs when they showered or just walking around in their rooms.
