Recent San Motel Review: "Considering the reviews I read I was wondering what we had in store for us (my colleague booked the motel based on the price and proximity to the airport). It is not as bad as other reviewers say. The service and room was similar to other motels I've been at. The location may not be suitable for families with kids (there's a strip club next door) and light sleepers. With the airport, trolley and train line, harbor ships nearby, and a turbine factory across the road there's plenty of noise around - but the room was pretty quiet and did not trouble me or my colleague. The motel is very close to the airport, but not that close to the convention center - it takes 30-40 minutes to walk to the center/ downtown. You can rent bicycles which will get you downtown in 10 minutes or get a bus. The funny part is that the trolley line runs behind the motel but there's no trolley stop anywhere nearby. Little Italy is close by and there's a 7/11 nearby too. All-in-all, it's a decent place to stay for business or if you plan to use the room mainly for the night."
