Recent W San Diego Review: "Perfect, is the word I would use to describe my stay at the W-San Diego. My boyfriend and I stayed here for one of our spontaneous getaways that we have every other month, and we just loved it. The staff was very poliet and knowledgable. The location was amazing and convenient. Almost everything was walking distant, and not to mention their free transportation  around the local areas. The rooms were bigger then expected, since i went not expecting much. It was very clean and modern/hip. I had problems with the W-Silicon Valley and was skeptical about this place, but this W has redeemed its name and won me back. The only issue i had was the parking fee. $35 a day! Just wished it would be free or cheaper for the price we pay for the Hotel alone. Bottom line is we would definitely stay here the next time we come down to San Diego. :)"
