Recent Westin San Diego Review: "We loved our stay at the Westin. It was close to the ferry, which was great since we wanted to spend the day at Coronado Island. It was also close to the trolley (great for going to Old Town, which we did) and only about a 15-minute walk from the convention center and Seaport Village. The surrounding area had some fabulous restaurants (Karl Strauss  Brewery and Currant were two of our favorites), and I felt very safe walking to and from the convention center. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the front desk was helpful and always available for any questions. The only downside is that the pool was a bit small, and it was located in such a way that it was hidden by the sun by about 4 o'clock. So even though it was open until 10 pm, it wasn't really usable (in my opinion) after 4 pm or so. But perhaps in the middle of summer (we were there in early May, so still springtime) it would be fine to swim at night. Overall, great value, great hotel, safe neighborhood."
